App Icon

Your app icon is the first thing users see in app stores and on their home screen. Set it in Primio before building for Google Play or the App Store.

Access it from Workspace → App Icon.

  1. Go to Workspace → App Icon

Open the workspace mode and select App Icon from the section menu.

  2. Upload an image

Drag and drop an image onto the upload area, or click to open a file picker. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG. Image size must be between 512×512 and 4096×4096 pixels.

  3. Crop to a square

The cropping tool opens automatically. Adjust the crop area to select the best square region of your image.

  4. Confirm

Click confirm to set the cropped image as your app icon.

The icon is included in APK, AAB, and IPA builds, and appears as the favicon in the browser tab of your published web app.

The icon is also used as your app’s launcher icon on the device home screen. A missing or default icon makes your app look unfinished and will be rejected by app stores.

  • Keep it simple. Recognizable shapes and bold colors work best. Fine details disappear at small sizes.
  • Avoid text. Your icon will be displayed as small as 48x48 pixels on some devices. Text becomes unreadable.
  • Use high contrast. The icon needs to stand out against any wallpaper or background color.
  • Bold shapes over detailed illustrations. Think app store icons you recognize instantly — they’re usually simple geometric forms or stylized symbols.
  • 512×512 to 4096×4096 pixels. The image must be within this size range. Higher resolution ensures the icon looks crisp on all devices and in store listings.

To replace the icon, upload a new image. It overwrites the previous one.

To remove the icon entirely, click the delete button. A confirmation dialog appears before deletion — this can’t be undone.
